Member Spotlight : Madison Bowes

This week we would like to recognize Madison for her commitment to volunteering with Habitat for Humanity and her desire to make the world around her a better place. A first year student at the U, Madison knew she wanted to volunteer in college just like she did in high school. Having always wanted to volunteer with Habitat, she was excited to get involved with the campus chapter and her love for volunteering has continued to grow. She attended Mega Build earlier this fall where she got to work on two different sites and learn more about what Habitat does. On the first site, she got to help a family put the finishing touches on their home by planting and landscaping. On the second site, Madison got to work with A Brush With Kindness and work on painting a home and clearing out weeds for a patio. During the day, she was so happy to meet the two different homeowners and families who were benefiting from her volunteering and got to see that they were so excited and thankful to have volunteers like her to help them. Madison is truly wonderful and volunteers out of love and passion for others. Thank you for helping to make the community a better place!

Thanks to all of our Fall Mega Build 2016 volunteers!

Together we volunteered over 100 hours, helping 4 different families in the metro area
